Commissions Closed

So with December coming to a close, commissions are closed again. All of you who I responded to are still on the list and will get your turn - and it will still count towards charity. With two rather large pieces commissioned up front, there's already a decent amount of cash that's been raised for the Trevor Project. I'll give you the final sum once I finished all the commissions in question, when I donate the total. Thank you for the interesting drawing prompts!

So, funny story: When the most recent ban-wave here hit months ago, I considered creating a tumblr for anything too lewd for DA.

Suffice to say now I'm glad I didn't.
BUT! That brings me to another thought I had a while ago: As the title says I'm thinking about joining Patreon (I actually have an account there, just not enabled as a creator). But first I wanted to gauge interest here. Let me know whether or not you would generally be up to donate a small some for some perks in return. A couple of points I roughly mapped out in my head:
- Anything I would have posted on DA before I will still publish free of charge. No art will suddenly be locked behind a paywall.
- Tiers would probably be $2, $5 and maybe $10, or around that ballpark.
- I'm considering pledges being billed per artwork, instead of monthly, given my lacking output on art. I'm also pretty certain that it's possible to put a monthly cap on pledges, so if I have a productive month I wouldn't suddenly drain anyone's bank account.
- For rewards I'm considering fully sized sketches, lineart, clean png cutout of the characters without background, getting variants before they are added on DA (and, in the single exception to point one I consider, possibly exclusive variants), and perhaps, depending on what tiers I end up coming up with, one free single character commission per year. A birthday gift if you want to think about it like that. Obviously that would have to be rather limited though. We'll see.
The aforementioned too hot for DA stuff would be found there in uncensored versions, for all tiers.This is a bit of a tricky one, since anything explicit that could be interpreted the wrong way is a no go. Stuff like pin ups should be ok though. Thanks taco3 from stopping me from possibly running face first into the ban hammer.

Charity Commissions Open

Update: Of course I forgot the commission info. Here it is.
So perhaps it's the holiday spirit or perhaps I've already had too much spiced wine this season, but I had an idea. I'm officially opening up commissions again. Also chibi commissions are making a return, for 5€ per character. But that's not all - I also plan to donate every cent generated with commissions during the month of December for a good cause! I'm still on the lookout which charity I want to support, but the most likely contender so far is The Trevor Project, which offers crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ teens. Mental health is a topic near and dear to my personal heart, and - while not exactly comparable - I'd wager most of us here have dealt with feeling shame and guilt about what we're into at some point, so it does seem at least somewhat topical. Plus they're in pretty decent standing at charity navigator.
I'll update this journal should I change my mind on where the money should go, and of course I'm open to suggestions in the comments.

Bondage Visual Novels?

First off, I hope everyone enjoyed happy and safe holidays, and a good start into the new year. I was planning on drawing a themed picture, but a hand injury, nasty cold and the usual christmas stress got to me I'm afraid. Don't worry though, I've more or less all healed up. Anyway, on to the topic in the title of this journal:
I've picked up DiD Games's Bonds, and while I'm not through the whole story yet, I can already confidently say that it's great. The art and audio are great, the story is adorable and Session Mode is a neat dress up...I would say mini game, but it's honestly too expansive to be called that. So while I doubt you haven't heard of it if you're watching me, I definitely recommend this game if you can spare the cash!
So while I'm still not through Bonds I was wondering if there are any other bondage or BDSM themed visual novels/dating sims to be found. The only thing quick googling turned up that isn't a simple hentai game with little story and even less choice is Ladykiller in a Bind. And even there, the bondage part seems to take a backseat, at least with the choices I made (though I'm also not done with it yet, so I may be in for a surprise), though the story and characters are interesting. There is so much potential exploring different angles from a more lighthearted and playful little dose of kinks to a full-blown D/s relationship, themes of trust, self-exploration, stereotypes, shame...so while understandable, since the market would probably be quite small, it's honestly a shame there's not more of it. So, to get to the point, does anyone know a game like that? Especially a dominant protagonist would be interesting, but I'm curious about games exploring the other side as well. I'm honestly half tempted to look into developing one myself, if my track record with big projects weren't...well, abysmal...

Uhm...Hi?

Soooo, how long as it been since my last sign of life on here? Months, that much I know. I feel like a should apologize for suddenly dropping from the face of the earth like that, for so long. Especially since I don't really have an excuse. It's not like a tragedy struck or anything, just - life was crazy busy this whole year, so drawing was pretty much out of the question (I didn't get to use my pencils or tablet much outside of stuff for here either), and eventually I put off logging onto DA for so long that it felt really awkward, in turn putting it off for even longer...and suddenly it almost becomes this self-imposed exile.
So, now where I finally decide to take a peek back here, I wanted to offer a sincere apology to anyone who might have missed me. I'll try to be online some more again, and hopefully I'll find the time to draw again sooner or later. Unless some pretty significant changes were to happen in my life I don't want to completely abandon this account anytime soon. Just...sticking my head in the sand from time to time it seems.
So, now where I finally decide to take a peek back here, I wanted to offer a sincere apology to anyone who might have missed me. I'll try to be online some more again, and hopefully I'll find the time to draw again sooner or later.
